Camp Bartlett Fuels Reduction

The Bear River Council utilized $31,500 in grant funding from the Idaho Dept. of Lands to reduce the threat of wildfire to human health and safety on six acres of timbered Boy Scout summer camp in Bear Lake County, Idaho. The work consisted of removing dead and standing (live or dead) timber that would contribute to crown fire adjacent to eight structures located in the camp area. The work was performed by two subcontractors for a total of three temporary jobs, and completed in August 2005.
