For over five years the Bear River RC&D has provided funding through grants and at one time acted as fiscal agent for the District V Cloudseeding Consortium which includes Oneida, Bannock, Franklin, Caribou and Bear Lake Counties in Southeastern Idaho. Funding typically comes from contributions from local governments, irrigation companies and other sponsors. The Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District currently heads up this interesting water augmentation project which provides chemical to local cloud seeding generators throughout the project area.
